Bold art.

Elegant design.

A series of metal covers that come together to recreate Atmosphere and Environment X, offering a unique, interactive book experience.

Book design inspired by the bold, geometric sculptures of Louise Nevelson. When brainstorming this project, I wanted the book to feel recycled, almost as if it were a sculpture itself. I took this idea literally by creating a book within a sculpture. The solution was a series of seven limited metal cases that, when assembled, recreate Nevelson’s iconic sculptures Atmosphere and Environment X. The design reflects the strength and complexity of her work, with a grid layout that adapts to any image size, echoing Nevelson’s structural approach. The electronic version of the book uses the same grid, creating a seamless experience between physical and digital formats.

Mandate: Create a book concept that embodies Nevelson’s sculptural approach, using a series of metal cases that come together to recreate her iconic works, Atmosphere and Environment X, while maintaining a cohesive layout across both print and digital formats.

The result is a striking, interactive book concept that transforms sculptures into a tangible experience, with a layout that harmonizes geometric art in both physical and digital forms.
